As a focal point of village life the WBSC has supported many chartiable events across the years, like Colchester Hospice, St Helena Hospice, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Alfie Leggett Fund to name a few.

Access for disabled members via the  large doorway, disability toilet facilities.  We provide comfortable sitting area.

The WBSC forms part of the overall Orpen Memorial Hall complex, however it has its own facilities and function hall which is available to hire to members of WBSC for their functions like weddings, christenings and wakes, priced depending on numbers but very reasonable rates offered to all members.
